My air pump in my tank broke and I moved them, both females, to a tank with a single male until I can get a new air pump. The male keeps chasing them around the tank. Would it be a good idea to keep them in there until I get a new pump( in two days) or would they be able to survive without the air pump for a couple days?

Thanks

They will be fine for two days without air. I know for a fact a few years ago we lost power for 5 days from a storm and my community tanks did just fine. I won't lie though, I was nervous but they were fine.

Air pumps are not necessary as long as there is enough surface disturbance to oxygenate the water. Usually the flow of the filter is good enough.

They should be OK, if they start trying to breath from the top of the water try dipping a glass into the water then pour from up high to make bubbles. May need to do often, but, it help aerate the water. But, maybe they have enough air for now.
