You could get wallpaper stripper! I don't know what kind of adhesive it is or how much, but you best bet is wallpaper stripper! Go to your nearest hardware store (home depot, lowes, etc.) and they shoud be able to assist you!

Use a solvent. Alcohol on latex paint is sure to remove color from the paint and leave the spot lighter. I would try mineral spirits first. use it on a Q-tip and work gently to just soften the residue. Wipe gently with a soft cloth or paper towel. Check for color removal on the rag. If none, put the spirits on a rag and rub gently. The residue should roll off in little balls.

Or you could try wrapping some scotch tape around your fingers, sticky side out and carefully tap the sticky stuff with the sticky side of the tape. This works great for taking lint off clothes, may work for taking the sticky off your walls.

Try Goo Gone. It works for me. Should be able to get at at a home products store.

Rubbing alcohol should work very well.
