Pork is fine if you cook it thoroughly. If you do not cook it completely, then it has some nasty worms that'll get you. This is why the jews considered it an unclean food, I suspect. It is one of the few meats that CANNOT be served "rare" no matter what.

Pork can't hurt you. Just prep it right and you won't get a bunch of grease in your blood vessels.

Yes; it has something called putrizine and cadaverine in it. It speeds up the decaying process in humans.
