It does not cost money to have a paypal account or to send money. It costs to receive money or take credit cards.

Paypal is an easy way to abuse the system eg money laundering they ask for credit card or bank details to prove you are who you say you are as banks make there own checks.
Unless you spend money it will cost you nothing.

You have to have some way to make payments to the sellers. That is what the credit card is for. If a seller only accepts Pay Pal payments, then your only other choice is to deposit money in a Pay Pal Bank account.

In either case, you don't pay Pay Pal anything. You pay the seller THROUGH Pay Pal. The seller gives Pay Pal a fee for this service.

Only the price of the goods you buy...the reason for your credit card details is to register it...if they were crooks they would soon lose their site...
