the $ profit is : 79.99$-48.50$=31.49$
the percantage of profit is : (31.49$)/(48.50$)~=65%

OK. The markup will be the difference between the price it was bought for and the price it will be sold for. Hence: $79.99 -$48.50 = $ 31.40. % markup will be 31.40 / 48.50x 100=65% Hope this helps.
