What amazes me is how we have to either be pro-choice OR pro-life....nothing in between, your either for it or against it, no room for a compromise. I am pro-choice...and in some instances pro-life. I believe in a woman having a choice, and also a man having a choice whether or not to have children. I feel it is wrong in both ways for a woman to force a man to have a child, or a man to force a woman to give up sex (rape) and yes it occurs in marriage....married women are raped by their husbands...and then they end up having a multitude of kids because no birth control was used and once a woman starts having children her life is compromised quite a bit. Nothing wrong with having them but lets be realistic, time and money is needed to raise children and we have a rather LARGE GROUP OF SINGLE MOMS IN AMERICA. Now women generally make less then men in our work force, and so I am going to assume that these women have to get support in one way or another from either the state or govt. One way or another we are going to have to pay. If a woman is abusing her right to choose to be a parent she will have to answer to god or her maker. My opinion of abuse is having abortions being used as pure birth control when there are other methods that are more effective. OR when parents want to have a specific gender child. Partial Birth abortions are very very very brutal. If you look into this procedure you will see what I mean. Nick Berg had nothing on what they do to a partially born infant to abort it. I do believe that when it is possible for the infant to be independently alive that it becomes murder. Every life should have a chance and I personally have never had an abortion, but my sister has a medical condition which she cannot take birth control and she uses a diaphram and STILL got pregnant...she had to have one, and I dont blame her for it. She has two living children and is a good mom, she just knew that she could not do more at the time and it would harm more than help her situation, she has the ecclampsia/toxemia that happens when pregnant and she also has cancer, so she could not take care of another child at the time she became pregnant. She took her decision seriously and at times cries for the child she dosent have, so I feel that she is not a monster...not what people who want to downplay the need to have an abortion they want to paint these women as whores who have promiscuous sex and trollops who use the services as a form of birth control, this simply does not apply to all of the situations out there...So please, consider the fact that the situation is a bit more complex than a yes or no answer. Take Care.-Rachel.

I'm pro-choice, but I don't think people should be running around having abortions all the time. I think abortion is wrong and dangerous for the mom, so it really shouldn't be happening more than absolutely necessary, but I don't think it's murder, and it shouldn't be illegal. If a woman was raped, or if her baby is going to be born with Down Syndrome or something like that, she should have the choice of whether or not to abort. But you should have to be 18 to do it so teen pregnancies are cut down.
Oh, to whoever said it, pro-choice is not anti-life. You can think abortion is wrong but still think a woman should have the choice for situations such as those I described above.

I'm pro-choice. What a woman does with her body is her own business, and no one, especially the government, should have a say in this very personal, private decision.

Pro LIFE!! If you don't want a baby, do something about it BEFORE you get pregnant. Killing someone else because of a mistake YOU made is a coward's way out.
