If someone said to you that you could have every wish granted if you did a parachute jump, BUT... you had a 30% chance of dying, would you do it?

The first answerer probably also thinks that because parents are involved in 70% of child deaths, then the McCanns must be guilty.

I am merely highlighting the flawed thinking of people who let emotions, assumptions and prejudices cloud their ability to be objective.

They thumbing you down proves my other suspicion - that anti-McCanns are disingenuous.
As for me playing mind games, you're making assumptions based on your emotions. I thought only anti-McCanns did that.

I'm not anti McCann but do despair when the two factions start playing mind games with each other when a little baby is missing. Just as a reminder, her shortened name is Maddy, remember her?
EDIT:- Thank you for you additional info added since asking the question. It just confirms that you are trying to be a smart ar.e when a little baby is missing. I appreciate you confirming that fact, and the proof is here, copied onto my computer and can now never be deleted. You are playing mind games and have totally fogotten what this whole thing is about. You sad specimin, we are talking about a missing baby
Edit2, further proof of your inhumanity are thumbs down I have received. These would be from the anti's. They hate to be reminded of the fact that they have no interest whatsoever in Maddy, only in condemning her parents. So whenever someone reminds them that they are on a campaign on evil hatred, and really do not care one iota about the baby, they give thumbs down. People hate being found out for being evil hateful specimins
EDIT 3, Your last comment directed towards me specifically. Well, darling if that is not the ultimate confession that you are playing mind games with a missing baby, what is. There it is, you admitting it yourself. Don't try and f.ck with me darling with your silly little games. I am a whole lot smarter then you. By trying to defend yourself, in your own words, you are playing mind games with a missing baby.

I knew nothing about the McCanns when I saw the very first reports about this case, I saw them speaking on the reports and from what I heard and the reactions they gave I felt that all was not right with the case. I didn't even think about what they looked like or who they might have been. Their attitude and body language said it all for me and the look in his eyes when being interviewed. I didn't know what their jobs were or who was associated with them. I will say the same as I have before they have not been truthful about any of this and the one thing they are definately guilty of is child neglect. If they are guilty of anything else we will no doubt find out shortly. And as for looks etc they have many people rich and famous speaking up on their behalf, I wonder if the same would happen if they had come from a local council estate and been on benefits. I apologise to anyone who is from these areas I use it as an extreme example. We all know of Ben Needham I felt for his mum when this story first came out I am sure she would have loved the help of all that has surrounded the McCanns she didn't get any! We do know from statistics that children who are killed or vanish are usually the victims of relatives or someone they know. No matter whether you are Anti or Pro McCann we all know one thing, no matter what the parents look like, sound like or where they work or who they know, if they hadn't have left the three children alone that night we would not be here debating this and Maddy would not be missing. So no matter how many news reports you throw at people this is where the arguements fall apart as those you consider Anti McCann will quote just that, if they had behaved like ordinary parents should on holiday and been with the children this would not have happened. Its a plain and simple fact. May they find Maddy soon what ever has happened to her and also spare a thought for the hundreds of children around the world who go missing each day.

Dear Lorelei,
Many years ago I had a rather nasty accident where I broke my back, also a shard of bone was broken off and lay upon my sciatic nerve causing incredible pain and psychological torment the surgeon recommended surgery to remove this obstacle but my chances of ever walking again would be 50/50. I chose the pain and had to live with it for over 25 years. (This is a fact).
So in answer to your veiled question, given the chance, yes I would take that jump, there are some of us out there that would value the opportunity to do such a thing.
In the McCann's case there was a 50/50 chance that their unattended children would still be in the unlocked room upon their return.
If you need to ask a question, ask it straight, then maybe you would receive some balanced answers.
Edit: Lorelei, how do you know that some answers would be somewhat dishonest when you don't know the people posting the answers ?
Honesty is always the best policy, otherwise you just trip yourself up !.

This has got nothing to do with the McCann's neglecting their children. They should have been protecting them, not in a tapas bar enjoying themselves. If they had acted as most responsible parent's do, none of this would have happened. By the way, you could always ask them both to do a parachute jump to raise money for their own charity, if that element of risk was involved, they would probably make their other 2 children do it!!!

I'm a 'Murkin, so I may not be as well acquainted with all the facts as some of those here. But I find this case comparable to the infamous Jon-Benet Ramsey case that occurred here (in Colorado) some years back.
The media, damn their puny little souls to hell, had the Ramsey parents, John and Patsy, all but convicted, tried and hanged. (All along, I could not see the rationale; why would normally doting parents want to murder their beautiful, precious daughter?)
John and Patsy Ramsey were eventually cleared of any wrongdoing; meanwhile, for all the years that the Boulder police department focused on THEM, they focused on no one else, and Jon-Benet's killer was never found. And there still remains a cloud over John Ramsey (Patsy died of cancer.)
So, I agree with you. Most people who murder their own children are mentally ill, or enraged over the spouse having left them. I see nothing to indicate that the McCanns harbor either of these specifications, so I ask...WHY would they kill their daughter?
Percentages mean squat. Police need to look for real evidence, and stop relying on speculation.

I've only ever driven a renault McCann once, the wheel bearings were worn and it sounded like a cat was being brutally tortured every time we turned a corner. But what that has to do with parachutes I don't know. Unless of course your chute doesn't open and you land on a renault McCann, but I'm sure the odds of that are likely to be less than 30%. I once heard that the odds of falling down the stairs and having your fall broken by your pet cat were as little as 1 in 5000 so I can't see that a specific car being there is greater than that. Unless of course the ratio of McCann drivers is greater in people who fly and so an airport carpark has a higher ratio than other areas.
I think you're a bit muddled up.
I'm unhinged !!?
That's rich coming from some dim fucc who just rattled on comparing irresponsible parenting to a suicide jump from an aircraft.
You're as thick as shite and don't even recognise how irrelevant your ramblings are. You fuggin thick fugger **** fucc.

Yes. If I survived the jump then I could use my wishes to make every person in the world happy. People wouldn't have to starve, war would cease to exist and there would be no violence or poverty. Of course I would risk my life in the hope that I could make the world a better place. I'd do the jump if the percentages were reversed for that type of pay off.

Don't understand the question - are the McCanns doing a parachute jump? Good idea. As long as they don't forget to wish for their daughter's safe return.

There is 70% chance of survival and that is a big big percentage.Obviously there is a higher chance of me surviving than dying but I would not however gamble away my life for anything. Even if the odds were 99% to live. My life is worth too much to me. So No.
Quick edit... If there was lottery ticket with a 70% of winning I would buy it...70% may not be a guarentee but it is a bl**dy high statistic.

dont see the connection to the M'Canns in this but personally if asked to a parachute jump for every wish to be granted then I would because the first wish would be that I didn't die doing it.
