I am 14 years old, my mom and dad have been divorced since I was 3.I live with my mom and stepdad and little brother. I don't really have much to do with my dad as he don't have much to do with me. The question I have is how old do I have to be to deside when I what to see my dad if at all.I order by the courts to go to my dads every other weekend and split holidays.I live in Minnesota, what are my rights? 14 and need to know.

At your age you hardly have any at all except probably to refuse to go to your dads at all which is not the case here. Since you are a minor, your parents decided with the help of a Judge, what was in your and your brothers best interest, whether it was right or wrong at the time. Since you are still a minor there is very little you can do to change their divorce decree, especially since both will have to appear in court. Now either your mom or dad would have to petition the court themselves to even get this back into courts and I dont see that happening any time soon. In 4 years you become an adult and can leave home and do whatever you like with your parents and right now that seems like your only option here. Sorry and good luck

You do not have to go on visitation to your father's if you do not want to. The visitation order is NOT to force a child to spend time with the non-custodial parent, it is to make sure the custodial parent does not try to keep the child from seeing the non-custodial parent IF the child wants to.
