The speed of the Internet will continue to increase.
The governments will exact more and more control over the Internet. Our US government sends spyware ino your computer. They want to know everything about you and your thoughts. Are thought police next or are they there already?
The internet can be ghosted over electrical power lines. All that need be done is to plug a computer device into any socket and you will be able to get online.
Video will continue to improve and it shouldn't be too long until we can get HD TV off the internet.
We will soon be able to send huge downloads that you will be able to download and install in a matter of seconds.
Maybe even, Microsoft Marketplace will not contain so many infected program files.

Are you kidding ? It will never end ! Maybe ? When everything humans 'know', is out there, AND every new thing learned is somehow added to the Universal Intelligence we call the internet.
But, then again...................is this the beginning of the "end"?
Just like all the other empires or ages..........the Technological
Age/Empire will eventually crumble or fall. Hopefully, into an even better/inconceivable age/empire.
Remember, Rome, Greece, the Bronze, the British, the Paleolithic......................But I digress ! Bye.

SNAIL MAIL!
What with the government snooping on everyone's wireless conversations and Internet habits... snail mail may make a comeback soon.
Think about it... with computer information and the government using specialized software, they can monitor millions of conversations, documents and messages at once. If people value their privacy, they'll revert to good ol' snail mail where letters will have to be intercepted and manually opened one at a time ... if they want to monitor our behaviors. The manpower required to do the same amount of surveillance as today will be more than the even government can afford.
What do you think... Mr. President?

The next, ideally, would be to intimate communication between human being and computer. The computer knows what you need and communicate without being asked.
