Where has the anti-Crosby bandwagon gone?? I'm getting concerned! It's like after so many reruns of "All Buffalo Sabres, All the Time" suddenly, after much popular demand, a movie came out and everyone's at the theater watching that instead of staying at home and tuning into The Sidney Crosby Show.
Do we still hate that guy or what?
...And did I take the metaphor too far there?

ZAPCITY - I fully believe that if we're ever going to see a Staal vs Staal fight, it's going to be between Jordan & Marc. The forward-on-defenseman matchup and their past history of being the two that fought the most is starting to really make me a believer. Well, and because Jordan's a fighter now... LOL, yeah right.

MICHAEL - When you cite some proof instead of speculation, we'll talk. However, I can provide plenty of proof that Crosby's humble-pie. If you want it, just ask. (Except for off the ice, but no one needs to know that except for those who know him personally anyway.)

2eighty8 - Well, just make sure you delete Jen's picture when you're all done. MWAHAHA! (If you were about to say all kinds of wonderful things about Crosby... please, don't let me stop you!) :P

SNOOP - Agreed. Ironically, a friend of mine and I were watching the game together last night and we were discussing that. Sid looks like he's doing too much, if that's possible. I think that's why Recchi looks like he's underperforming this season, he's playing next to some guy that's out of his mind, all over the place. (Although... I have to say I'm impressed by Ryan Malone's effort so far. He looked really good on Sid's line against the Caps. If he plays a disciplined game, he might finally be as good as he was supposed to be.)

ZAM - He would have had a toothless snarl if he didn't get emergency dental surgery after a Flyers game (aka an appointment with Dr. Hatcher)... LOL @ Gordie Orr. No Wayne Lemieux for you?

Sidney Crosby? I think the only way to hate the guy is if he changed his last name to Porter, Buress, Faneca, Bay, Littlefield, McClatchey, Duffy, or moved in with Derek Bell's family! Ha ha!
Seriously, the only issue I have with him is this: he is pressing like no other player this season. He feels as though he has to be all the scoring options, be the defensive stopper at forward, and gut it out against the other muckers. The guy needs to relax and take a night off. Of course, I hope he doesn't do that in March or early April!
Nice ears! ;)

Give me about an hour, Erica, and I'll be right with you. I'm a little busy with other things right now. (Not the anti-Sabres bandwagon thing.) lol
LOL Why, Erica, I'm flattered that you think that I can last a WHOLE HOUR. Geez! Most guys would've gone ape-poop if that were to happen! Think of the amount of protein bars I'll need to eat!
Anti-Crosby...anti-Crosby...you know what? Got nothing. Venting about the Sabres bandwagon took all the anger out of me. The dark side is not strong with this one today. lol

I like most everything about the kid except for his name.
I think more guys would cheer for him if he had a toothless snarl and had a name like Carl Racki or Gordie Orr.
Instead, his name is Sidney(no need for the Johnny Cash reference), he is a 20 year old millionaire, all of the girls want to get in his pants, and he was the best player in the league last year. Whoever says that they are not jealous is lying, so you have to expect backlash, its only going to get worse.
I would even change my name to Sidney, or Sue for that matter, to live his life. He is a fun player to watch, so I cant hate him.

The kid is talented but the hype, the never ending hype surrounding him, people always finding a way to bring Crosby up in any type of NHL related conversation, the way his apperance (ie. playing against Pittsburgh) at the game overshadows the hype/buzz around your own home team, the overkill of marketing him as a brand (rbk, tim hortons, pepsi, doritos..) It is all so incredibly irritating it makes you want to hate him for playing along with it/creating it! Part of me secretly hope he busts in a few years.
And just as I always felt Lemieux was superior to Gretzky I feel the same can be said of Ovechkin to Crosby.

lol good one Erica > The Sidney Crosby Show
I've never had a problem w/Sid. I don't even mind his whining. Heck, what 20 yr old doesn't whine? I've yet to meet one!
ps I <3 the kitty ears. Very Halloweenish.

Well, he hasn't really been lightin' it up so far. He's put together a nice enough campaign, but he's no Cammalleri. lol
Point is, the haters don't have enough to be irritated about so far. The Rangers have Pitt on Tuesday, so I'll probably be hating by 7pm PDT that night.
EDIT: Snoop, that 'C' is heavier than it looks.
EDIT 2: Yup, definitely did not enjoy another bagel at the hands of a team in black and gold.

I like Crosby, he rules! He's just off to a slow start, like all the Pens are. Maybe he's saving himself for the playoffs? I hate people who keep saying Crosby is overrated, or Crosby sucks, or he's a whiner. Just shut up people! He's a great player and he's only 20 damnit!

I was turned off by his hype at first. However, he has won me over. Winning an Art Ross Trophy at the age of 19 is impressive. Sid the Kid is special and I am glad to witness him play.

While I wouldn't say Crosby's detractors are mostly from Buffalo; I will say that the ones who spew their garbage about him are either really young (under 20 ) or just act like their spoiled teenagers. I just tune them out because if they want to be dumb so be it. I'm sure McDonald's could use another fry cook.

League neeeds to market both young superstars.
