My Mom: Southern Fried Chicken with all the fixins
My Dad: Bean Soup with Corn Bread
It's been a while since they made either. I've made the chicken for my family not too long ago though.

My mother makes the most amazing, unbeatable pot roast anywhere on earth. She browns it in a cast iron skillet on the stove top and then adds onions that caramelize while they are cooking with carrots and potatoes that come out this beautiful brown color. The whole thing is UNREAL and I sit and watch her and then go home and do the exact same thing and it comes out NOTHING like it. My sister says the same thing. It is just in my mom's soul and in her kitchen alone, I guess, but it is worth traveling hours for!!! I have not had it in over 6 months and my mouth waters just thinking about it!

I dont care a whole lot for fried foods, but mi Madre can make the best fried chicken ever....I think everyone feels that way about their Ma though

My mother made the BEST beef stroganogh I ever ate!!!!!!! No restaurant has ever compared! Even I, who am a cook cannot whoop her at it, in my OWN opinion. Mom doesn't cook, really, she never did, so I haven't had it since I was a teen. She hates cooking! LOL, but she was awesome at this dish!

My mom would make the most amazing London broil, with mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It's been over 9 years since I've had it. :'(

:( both my parents died in a car crash...so my grandma takes care of me...i dont really have a favorite meal....maybe just the pasta that my grandma makes..
