Stand
Written By Semper Fi Reborn

She stared at the doctor,
In disbelief.
Seems shock had arrived
Before the grief.
What was the name,
Of this life thief?
All she could do was stand!

He came in smooth,
Like a romancer.
Had her tango for her life,
This wicked dancer.
His first name was Breast,
Last name Cancer.
She knew she had to stand.

She wouldn't give up,
Go on the lam.
She would beat this thing,
With a body slam.
So she went,
And got a new mammogram.
You should've seen her stand!

What a woman!
What a survivor!

I would like to dedicate this poem to all those whose lives have been affected by Breast Cancer. Will you accept this small token of grace?

Gee Salene, you had me there for a jiffy. Then it looked as though it would me like your poem lost concentration. It develop into sort of such as you had an apple martini, hit the dance floor, had fun and then...develop! Like intense college, dashing to the girl's room. cleansing off the mascara. you merely lost me. and that i develop into dancing! If this develop into one among those poems the place you felt good till you remembered a prior flame...ok. I merely wasn't somewhat useful the place you took me. i think of that's what i develop into lacking. We have been in a good place, then a foul place, and you probably did no longer help me to make the transition.

Once again you have said what needed to be said in a manner that only you could say it. Well done, my fine friend, well done.

Well said, and I might add, said with a nice internal rhythm and flow.
