It wouldn't

So you would not make mistakes. (The government would make them for you.)

Please remember, all of us live under an illusion of freedom. Governments, all of them, tell us what to do. The difference is how much power we are willing to give them to do that.

Some people think that it is great to be free to buy guns. Others would rather have the freedom to walk the streets in peace, without fear of being shot and are willing to trade the right to bear arms for that.

Some people think that the state should not be involved in health care, giving the individual the freedom to choose to spend money on healthcare as they choose. Others think that the state should provide a level of health care to all, for it is the most vunerable that do worse when given freedom.

Really, it comes down to what you think is more important, your rights as a citizen, or your responsibilities to your country.

Being a patriot, I value my rights, but am also aware of my responsibilities.

It wouldn't. But conservatives apparently believe that it would be a bad thing with the one exception of abortion. Then they believe the government should tell women what to do.

Seems to be a flaw in their "keep government out of our lives" philosophy, don't you think?

For most of us, it wouldn't be better.

However, there's a significant, small, highly visible segment of the population which might benefit from someone else making all their decisions, since they always seem to pick the poorest course of action.

Still doesn't justify the rest of us knuckling under, of course.

You wouldn't have to make a decisions. You'd be told how to act, what to do, where to live, when to work, and where to worship (or not worship). Prime example: when the U.S.S.R. collapsed, most people didn't know what to do. They'd grown up being told what to do, and they weren't able to make decisions for themselves. Many killed themselves; others simply drowned their sorrows in vodka.

It would be much better because 99% of population are ignorant morons. That's why I'm voting for the smartest woman in the world. The lovely and wonderful Mrs Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. She wants to make our decisions and I think we should let her.
Please join me in electing our first Queen.
Shouldn't Hillary regulate and tax us in a way that controls our decisions and actions?
I feel so
