I got an Ipod for my b-day and its supposed to be able to hold 1 GB of stuff.
but it says it's capacity is only 892 mb, y?

The reason it has 892 mb of space is the other 108 mb is used for the software and programming. It happens to all iPods. You will still get about the same amount of songs as the say. Mabye 15-20 less.

Because Apple's advertising sucks. It says my 4GB is 3.68 GB. It's ok, it will still hold around the same amount of songs.

that's because some of the space is used for formatting, the ipod games, and the screen layout and stuff.
