Yes because the air just keeps recirculating in that thing. Did you think about this question for a long time???LOL

The smell (methane) is a chemical in the air and would be cleaned along with other contaminants.
It would all depend upon:
- the recycling time of the air purification system
- the distance of the farter from an air intake vent
- the angle of expulsion (towards or away from the air intake vent)

The shuttle has a filter that wil filter the gasses like carbon and methane. And your farts as you call them are primarily methane based.

yah because the air would never have any were to it can difuse its way out of the ship... i really hhope they have air fresaners
