(I just saw some 'bloopers' of people messing up in front of crowds while trying to sing the anthem..)

I know the words, but it would sound terrible. I can't sing at all, seriously. I made my little boy cry once because I was singing something and he hated my voice. I think the Banner is out of my league!

I would do better if no one was around, but I cannot sing worth a hoot. Never could. No, I could not hit the high notes...and I have never heard more than the first verse sung. Ain't that something? Most people don't even know there is more than one verse!
And, you are so right! there are too many singing it in front of crowds that simply should not be singing it.

That was because they weren't trying to sing The Star Spangled Banner, they were trying to sing The Star Sprinkled Banana.

People in other countries know the words to their national anthems. It's only here in lazy-azz America that people don't give a rat's azz about anything.

So yes, I would get all the words right, and I would choose a key that would allow me to hit the high notes.

If I had to singthe star spangled banner I wouldn't have a problem. I would get the words right and even hit the high notes with ease ain't nothing to it.

As a future citizen of your great nation I know I could, I know most of the words but as for hitting the high notes, Nope.

God Bless America.

Words, yes. Notes, no (I don't have that kind of vocal range and have never pretended to be a great singer). I'd have no problem playing it instrumentally, though.
