How do you make a styrofoam 3-D animal cell project?

google search the animal cell to see what it looks like, use paint (not spray!) to coat the syrofaom balls you can buy at any crafts shop. then connect with straws or toothpicks and glue

I would suggest taking a look at an animal cell and using a little creativity. Bring a picture of the animal cell with you to a craft store and see what you can find, they should have all sorts of Styrofoam balls and shapes. I think the best way would be to buy the biggest Styrofoam ball you can find and slice a quarter out of it, then use the xtra Styrofoam, smaller styrofoam balls or shapes, or packing peanuts to create your cell parts, you could use this image as a guide http://www.animalport.com/animal-cells.html
If going to the store is not an option try to dig up a couple of Styrofoam cups, an old Styrofoam cooler, or old Styrofoam xmas ornaments and some packing peanuts. With some scissors you can cut the Styrofoam into shapes to match your image and use glue or toothpicks to stick the pieces together, use color for the different parts and make a legend or create labels for each part of your model.

If you were to mimic one of these images and label each part clearly I'm sure you will get an A. Don't sound so blah about it, be creative and make it fun!
Do be careful about the type of glue or paint you use, some can make the styrofoam melt. Test whatever you are using on a small piece first.

Find a Picture of one online. Then go to your nearest Craft store. Try Michaels.com they actually cell all the foar pieces. Id get several different sized for the center .. you can paint them. dye them.. color them all the different colors of the cell. Use toothpicks to stick inside of the foam pieces.. and just type out the names and attach them to the toothpicks it will turn out great. I had to do the same thing in school but we used Clay.. Thats another idea...
