Exercise helps.
Very typical of adolescence. Hormones rage, and it doesn't just come out as sexual acting out.
Also, try something creative. I do crafts. Right now knitting is popular, but anything artistic is good. I have a fortune cookie fortune on my monitor here that says "Dispel negativity with creative activities," and it is true!
Do you want some counseling? Short term maybe? You could contact a school counselor, a minister at church, or another trusted adult. I was a straight-A student, too, and thought I was more unattractive than I was. Wish I had had some outside help. I think I suffered unnecessarily. The good news is that these years pass!
I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

We have some things in common. I'm a straight A student and I get angry sometimes too. What I do is I try to write in a journal, but I write really slow so my thoughts don't go in there fast enough. So what I do is go to a pillow and scream really loud and punch it like it's the person or thing that i'm mad about. Or paint with black and stuff but don't be careful. Splash that paint on the canvas and express your feelings. Just do these things in private because you will look back on them and be embarrassed if you do it in public. Also give yourself a makeover or something. Put on soft music and do your nails and facial and stuff. Sometimes when you want to get back at people. Keep a low profile and they'll be suspicious of what you're gonna do to them. That way, you'll get to have your fun without going to much trouble. I get emotional sometimes too. It'll pass.

When I get angry I go for a run.
I listen to country music, which I otherwise cannot stand.
I call up a friend that has nothing to do with my anger and see if they want to hang out or just talk.
I take a hot bath.
I clean .... odd but when I angry clean everything gets amazingly clean because I concentrate on the cleaning rather then the anger.
Or I watch a movie I've never seen before.
It really is just part of growing up. The amount of times you find yourself angry will decrease as you get older, not that they will completely go away.

I get angry a lot, and I listen to loud music to help calm me down as well. Other things that help me relax is reading, because I can get lost in it and not care about anything else. I write in my journal, and take a long hot shower. Drink hot chocolate!

a great idea is exercising. it works great for turning that negative energy into positive energy. when you feel angry, just pull on some sneakers and go for a run.
it's just a part of being a teen. everyone goes through it, and you will go through it until those crazy hormones chill out.

ok, i am not saying that you need Anger Management, but i just recently stopped taking AM and it helped a lot. i think that it just comes with being a teen... confusion, anger, boys.... and adults expect us to grow up at the same time! it is REALLY hard. feel free to email me! raisedlikeacowgirl@hotmail.com
