1967 Roosies are clads, meaning that they are made of copper-nickel cladded on pure copper. Golden dimes don't belong to this composition and are therefore post-Mint products. Someone definitely plated gold on the dime for jewellery or ornaments.

I have found a 1967 Roosevelt dime, but it is a gold color instead of the usual silver. Is it a mistake coin?

1)Are you sure it was the same watch? Are you POSITIVE? 2) How long was it gone? Perhaps you have forgotten exactly what it looked like. 3) Could it be your friend lost it and replaced it with the closest thing he/she could find? 4) Perhaps, if it was a cheaper quality watch, it was silver- plated, and wherever it was, the top coat of silver was getting rubbed off, only to reveal the gold underneath. Hope that helps!
