I wouldn't go far at all. Why ruin thing in the first place. I don't know how old you are, but if you have abstained from sex for a long time, why have it now? Why not wait till marriage. I don't understand folks sometimes with the rush to have sex, or living together but will never marry. What is the fear in marriage? If someone loves you, then they should prove it by committing to you and that means having that piece of paper in your hand that says "we are married" we belong to each other.

The classical answer is apparently appropriate here. Like so many others in the past, you are using the psychological power of sexuality with an intent to divert thought and practice from the very spirituality and religion you hide behind, making sex more important than spirituality and inferring the superiority of sexuality as a path to spirituality. Do you have any idea how trite and old is that ploy? Middle Ages have it well documented (which is actually funny, when you think of it), and Arabic passages of three thousand years ago warn of such foolishness in tempting the Faithful toward unfruitful routes to God. I do not complain about those who malign Faith in God or challenge religious tenets. I do complain about the amateurs. Please return to the kiddie pool. Go with God

That's a highly specific set of circumstances. It sounds like you're looking for permission or validation from strangers to do what you want to do. No one on earth can relate to that totally unique dynamic...but no one is going to judge you, either. (Provided you're both of legal age, of course.)

Let what ever comes naturally in the moment. Don't put pressure on your sweetheart just relax and allow nature to take it's coarse. In other words, don't sweat it.
