I don't do drugs myself.
I do think people should get to choose if they do them or not though.
Without the risk of being arrested.

i dont do drugs either. i have been known to dtrink excessive amounts of beer. it is my opinion that if people want to use recreational drugs it should be their choice. with the same intoxicated driving laws as alcohol.

"America's war on Drugs" is a fallacy. One department of the US government (the DEA) is fighting against the drug problem whilst other departments (especially the CIA) are actively involved in the Drug trade.
The CIA has been involved with drugs since the early 1940's, first with the Mafia (since 1943 when it was the OSS), with the Corsican Mafia in France since 1947, with the Kuongmintang in northern Burma (1949 to 1968), with the Corsicans in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia since 1949 and with the Meo in Laos and the Vietnamese ARVN generals etc in (southern) Vietnam from 1954 until 1975. They were also involved with the drug lords and generals in many of the South American countries.

That title is a reflection of an idea and not a "war" at all.
You can't wage a "war" on a "thing" or a concept. It's like the "War on terror". Terror is a method and war cannot be waged against a method. You can wage war on the persons or entities that USE that method.

Ah, I remember that war! When it started there was a bunch of stoned hippies who's only crime was (if they could muster the will) to steel some Twinkies. Not long after it started though, did it really become a violent criminal activity with machine guns, blood and money!!

There is no war against drugs. If there was, we would be executing dealers and suppliers, burning down crack houses and firing missiles at manufacturing bases all over the world. And if you think anyone that wants to do them should be able to, keep that in your community, okay?

Yes, it's like the "War on Terror." You can't wage a war on free will.
Arresting murderers, rapists, pedophiles, etc., obviously justified. That was not the question. The "war" on any conceptual evil itself is one that can never be won unless to can control people's minds and actions. It will be waged indefinitely. Ah like to wage a war on dumb answers, but alas, ah can't.
