Legitimate questions are obviously okay. But most people (at least in this forum) lace their "legitimate" questions with adjectives like "sick, perverted, sinful, disgusting, etc." Expect to be jumped on and called a homophobe.

I am always curious about people who question homosexuality. What is the heart of the question? 99.999% of LGBT people will tell you there was no choice involved, and there appears to be no correlation to environment or parenting. What exactly do you question?

There is nothing wrong whatsoever with debate and learning. However there is a problem when that debate becomes an attack or judgement. The whole thing that I have noticed with some of the more negative questioning I have encountered is the sincere belief that homosexuality is something that is sick, abnormal, perverted or a disease. To me that is completely lacking in rationality and sense. So whilst I am all for freedom of speech I find that a phrase that is bandied around only to suit some people's purposes!

Questioning it is fine. Just don't get aggressive, don't say you hate them, and don't tell them they're gonna burn in hell.
It's only homophobic if you start doing the above. Otherwise, no problem.

Remember also that homosexuals usually have a tough time- and if you question, the obvious reaction would be to suspect you of homophobia unless you are careful.

So as long as you question it nicely and constructively, it is no problem.

Questioning is good- if I tell homophobics to question homophobia, I am being a hypocrite if I tell you to not question.

Who is to say what is right and what is wrong, its as if there was an answer somewhere, chiselled in stone. If it feels right to you to question homosexuality, question it. If it feels right to you to practice homosexuality, practice it. That is really the only yardstick there is. If you are making a mistake, you will find out soon enough because of what shows up in your life. Then it is up to you whether to change or continue.

It is not wrong to question anything, yu have that right under the freedom of speech. But remember people that who do not agree with you or dislike your question, fairly or not, have the same right to freely express thier opinions about your questions.

I don't think it is wrong to question why a person is gay or lesbian. I don't see that the answer really matters. Denying a person the right to question it is an attack on free speach though.
Just to let you know, I'm gay and happy with it, I don't care if it is biological or social in origin.

It soon will be illegal for people to say that they find homosexual perversions disgusting. If that's not loss of freedom of speech, I don't know what is.

Of course it's not wrong to question, we must question things, that's how people learn and progress.
The important thing is that you don't force what you think of the question subject onto others.
