Question Details: i've had enough of not knowing any glb's and to be honest really hope to find a bf, im joining gyc, a teen focused website, that enables you to search for fellow glb's in your area,(the obvious ways of finding other glbs is not there, as im 16,) i want to put a pic with my profile, as wihtout one, the chances of finding any glbs are small
My Qs, whats the chances of someone (who i dont want to know), finding my profile, ? and coming out is something im not ready for, yet. thanks

Good question. I think the chances are pretty small, since most of the people who look closely at those sites are looking for the same reasons as you. Most people don't go on those sites looking for somebody to out--but it could happen, especially if you're in high school.
Use caution, but don't be paranoid.

They'll only find it if they're looking for GLB profiles, and why... Oh why.... would they be doing that ?
Not risk free, but I;d say it's a low rish situation. I've had a cd/tv on line presence (posts, forums, blog etc) since way back in the old compuserve days... and so far, not one single person from outside my cd/tv life has found me, or mentioned it.

Just do go on here when nobody is home or around and don't mention this site. I am also a gay teenager and if my parents see this I will be in trouble. It okay to wait to come out later and I am waiting till college. Yeah I get what mean about your not ready to come out because parents looking at our profiles is a bad way to do it.

hard to know what the chances are, but it could happen
is there a YFLAG in your area? or PFLAG? you could meet other youth at YFLAG meetings and sometimes PFLAG has events/functions that you could attend to meet youth
is there a Unitarian Universalist church in your area? you could check them out - they are welcoming to glbt folks and it's not unusual to have youth attending who are glbt
our UU congregation helped our area GSA (gay straight alliance) high school clubs and YFLAG start an Alternative Prom five years ago and they now have several hundred youth attending that event every spring

i had a page o gaydargirls without anyone else knowin and they still dont, 3 years or so now. if they aint gay aint gonna go lookin on gaydar or other ay website

if your not ready to come out u are not ready for a bf so i would maybe not do this!!!! if u do u should be able to make your profile private!!!!
