I had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary to rupture yesterday. The pain was so debilitating and excruciating that I was rushed to the ER for fear of appendicitis. After a CT scan, they saw that I had a lot of fluid around my pelvis and still had a cyst of about 3.1 cm (which means it burst, but it has still not fully ruptured). While I am not in the excruciating pain I was yesterday, I am still in pain. How long does the pain of a ruptured ovarian cyst typically last?

From what I've heard some of my friends say it can be a couple of days but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

I have this crisis fairly most commonly. The affliction is the worst I've ever had. Usually the affliction diminishes fairly slightly inside 24 hours. You could also be sore for a couple of days, however the acute affliction will have to be attenuated inside 24 hours.
