I withdrew £1,000 from my bank yesterday & thought of a great idea for a laugh on the way home, i got some thin string from my kitchen draw & wrapped one end around my 1k (the string was about 10 ft long),,anyway, i headed into the city looking for beggers, i came across this fellow sitting (he looked like his world was ending) so i throw my wad into his begging cap..you should`ve seen his face, he thought all his birthdays had come at once..anyway as he dived forward to grab my grand out of his begging cap I pulled the string springing my wad back at me...you should`ve seen the poor little legless guy trying to chase the money along the street.......just one of those things that makes me smile...what made you smile today?

Of course it was cruel.My husband has a sick sence of humor too. In Budapest,we always see the same poor old lady begging in the tourist areas.She always is sporting a black-eye.
She asked my husband for money and he said something to her in Hungarian and she gave me a dirty look,I asked him what he said to her and he told me,"I told her I would love to give her money but my wife won't let me."
He was cruel to both of us but he was laughing to himself.He says it to her everytime we run into her. I must learn more Hungarian so I can set her straight.

Not only was that cruel you must have totally damaged that person. It was a really nasty thing to do!
Sounds like you've got money to throw around.

obviously it isnt a true story cause why would the title of the question be "is this cruel" when in the story you said nothing about it being cruel or you feeling bad. and it just doenst sound real. but it sounds real mean and rude. you must have no heart if u really did do this.

It was a bit cruel, you should have picked on a junky rather than a legless guy then it wouldnt have been so bad!!
