I always look around me and everyone seems happy about their lives. Yes - they are sometimes moody - but on the whole they seem content.
I always feel the odd one out like my life is different and worse than theirs?
Do you do this? Or is it just me?

Well, my life is so screwed up, but think about it: so are a lot of people's! It's all down to attitude. I used to feel really sorry for myself, but now I'm kind of happy to be me. After all, the experiences I've gained along the way are unique to me, and I'm glad that I'm an informed individual. Sometimes I do wish I was simple and had it easy, but the truth is, there will always be something to make you think "why me?".
As I so often say, there is only one thing that is truly real in life: happiness. It is the key to the soul of the world. With it, you can achieve anything! I hope you find it soon. =oD

My life is Ok. I have food, clean water, clothes, shelter, and education ETC ETC.
I agree, it could be better.
BUT there are people out there that have a far worse life than me. So I see myself as lucky. There is no point in feeling sorry for yourself. You get upset and other people don't want to be around you.
I think of these thoughts after I've had (what I think) is a very crappy day.
Besides everyone has a different life. I look at my friends lives and theirs appear v interesting. But everyone IS different.

you just need to learn how to look at things differently. do you have a place to call home and electricity? There are tons of people who are worse off then you and there always will be, no matter how crappy your life seems. I have just learned to take most things with a grain of salt. Bad things will happen so I don't dwell on them. Not many people are content with their lives, but you have to make the most of what you've got, or things will just suck.

We are all like that to some extent. Happy a lot of the time but down some times too. Have you seen the sign that can go in the back window/bumper of a car? "I am having a great day. Now watch some bastard spoil it for me!"

I've had bad things happen in my life but I know there are a lot of people out there with even worse situations so I'm always grateful for what little I do have.

I think you have " The grass is always greener " syndrome
My life is no better or worse than anyone elses ,
Just remember you are in charge of your life ,if you don't like the way its turned out

No, I have a good life, I'm happy and content just wish my hubby could be home with me all day instead of working, are you alright because you sound a bit down in the dumps, I hate to think your upset over something!

most of the time i realise that there are people in worse situations than i am.
but now and again if something is badly upsetting me then i tend to think that everyone else has a better life than me

i feel like that most of the time. it just seems like everyone is happy and has a lot of good people around them. but i dont, at least not at this point in my life. i have a few good people in my life but id like a lot more.
