Such a film would involve a character doing whatever it took, no matter how bad, to achieve their goals.

'V for Vendetta' is one such film. V, the main character, was willing to torture Evie to make her understand his goals and he's also willing to sacrifice himself for his cause.

Batman, to a degree, is also such a character where he is willing to kill to make Gotham a safe place to live.

Every movie with a vigilante car chase. From the Bourne and 007 movies (ok vigilante/spy) and all sorts of action movies.

I hate it when police are chasing a good guy, who is chasing a bad guy--and the squad cars careen into trucks at intersections or roll over. Often they show the cop getting out of the car to show that "no one was really hurt."
