what ever happened to the group The Cars?

They were so good. Thought they would last for generations!

They split many years ago. Ric Ocasek records as a solo artist. Benjamin Orr who sang their biggest hit Drive died of pancreatic cancer in 2000. Drummer David Robinson has retired from music altogether. More recently Elliot Easton and Greg Hawks hooked up with Todd Rundgren and Kasem Sulton (from Utopia) to form The New Cars.
