2(x ² - 16) / (x - 4)
2(x - 4)(x + 4) / (x - 4)
2(x + 4)

Parentheses would be very helpful... 2x^(2/x-4-32/x-4) is different from (2x^2)/(x-4)-32/(x-4) or any of the other possible problems that can be written the way you put it in your question.

=2x^2/x-4 - 32/x-4
=(2x^2 - 32)/(x-4)
=2*(x^2 - 16)/9x-4)
=2*(x+4)*(x-4)/(x-4)
=2(x+4)
