I hate to tell this person, but single people already pay a higher tax rate for one thing.

Well, I must say this is the first time I've ever come across this line of thinking....

I happen to be one of those childless people, and was single until I was 42. I was, often, ticked off about the priveleges and financial benefits afforded those people with children, and was amazed at how much of our society is geared toward children.

He is insane. I can understand his frustrations: having children is expansive these days. However, who else but their parents should take responsibility for their future? All home owners are paying school taxes in USA. The funniest thing is I never heard childless home owners complaining about that...

Who's opinion are we talking about? The gay guy who thinks that heteros should have no say in defining culture? Or the married with children guy who thinks we should impose a flake tax on every childless person over 30? Both are equally flaky!

Yeah, and not every single, childless person vacations in Bermuda while sipping expensive wines. I guess the Dalai Lama better stop his wasteful, selfish ways.

Both he and the gay guy are wrong. Let's just keep the taxes to a minimum and let people live as they please. I'm not about to get married or pregnant to satisfy people like him.

In regards to overpopulation, it is the tax payers that we WANT to reproduce. However the highest growth in birth rate is among those who could only pay taxes with money they got from the government anyway.

Not to mention we do not have to run after all kinds of school and other kid related things that impede on work hours and we without kids have to cover their behinds for.

The whole article seemed more an over response to the moronic comment the gay person made. How could one be put in charge of culture anyway?

I saw that when I was looking at the link Alexandra posted.

The world is overpopulated. I don't want anymore people breeding.. We should get less taxes for not breeding. :)

And then the people that adopt should get NO taxes for being so awesome.. lol.
