This was said to me by a fundie homophobe.

Is it wrong to laugh when they say things like that?

I just think it's rather cute when they start talking like a really bad 1950s Hollywood Biblical epic.

Thank you for expressing concern for my safety. So sweet.

Actually, I confess, this was written in an e-mail; but even face to face I laugh at nonsense like that.

My partner thought it was hysterical, and yesterday explained (to her mother!!!) that we hadn't answered the 'phone, because we were "delighting in the abominations".

This sounds like a chat up line to me, 'Would you like to come back to my place for some coffee and abominations, coffee optional?'

Nope, Laugh, I would have pi**ed myself, at least twice.

Oh, just check her out, look at those abominations! Wanna partake of some of that!

I would of laughed too, its ridiculus at gay pride u get hundreds of them preaching lines from the bible and im just like "yeah good try im gonna go look at those wicked floats and dance with my mates to the music...morons" lol

I will only sit and listen to the REAL followers of jesus christ, not these christians/preachers with like 3 bedroom houses out in the subarbs with nice expensive cars and kids who go to privet schools, i mean hello if your gonna tell us we are abominations have a look at the bible it does state you should get rid of ALL your belongings and follow god...not buy a big expensive house and two cars lol! (cant remember the verse as i dont really remember the bible but i recall hearing this once said at a church "its easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter gods kingdom")

sorry i went into abit of a rant their!, no its not wrong to laugh, they need a reality check and understand that homosexuality was not understood in those days i mean damn its only just being understood now!

You should ask the person who asked you that, the same question. e.g. -->Do you partake in the same abominations that your priests and preachers partake of?, when it comes to molesting children, adultry, getting caught with hookers, discarding prayers sent with payments and depositing the payments directly into the bank without looking at the prayers, secretly appearing in porn films due to repression, ripping people off, etc...

By the way many of my friends partake in the same "abominations" that I partake in.

I like to start off a day with good sex and nudity and wash it down with a sex elixir, eat , then have some more sex with my boyfriend before we start our day, and if we're out hiking we have more sex...

A few years down the road the person who asked you that silly question will probably jump head first into "sin" and do naughty things to a much higher degree than you ever ddid because of his/ her repression...

Why is it considered sin anyway? Just because it doesn't fit within their conservative, bland, narrow rules and ways of living?? What offends me is that these people think that because you're gay or are not being exploited financially by churches that you are automatically a bad person.

Yeah, puhleeeez, whatever.... We're just stronger and smarter. I have church, it's called my study groups, friends and the exercise spa, and when I go on regular hikes through the forest with friends I feel a lot of church, thank you.

Haha! No, it's just their way of being elitist, and forgetting that everyone is supposed to be EQUAL! FFS, I think God put those people there to test US! Haha! I would have laughed in his/her face. Happiness is what makes the world a better place, judgement is not. Those people are hypocrites, and who knows? Maybe you'll spread some love and happiness by laughing at them. It's pathetic! Hold your head high =oD

Ya, I do. I always start the day with a great big bowl of "Sin Flakes". They're so delicious, it's an abomination!

lol If someone told me that I'd probably be like "Yeah, I do, otherwise I wouldn't continue doing them! Duh!"

And then make the crazy motion and roll my eyes just to drive it home that he had better preach to someone who will give a damn lol

It's not wrong to laugh because it shows that they are a bit behind the times.

Here is a haiku inspired by their statement:

Abominations
I love to partake in these

I do indeed delight in them. I partake of them often, with as many men as are willing to participate.

But of course. One of my life goals is to commit various acts of sodomy with my partner in as many different countries as possible. We're up to seven so far.

Laughing isn't unreasonable, but it may be unwise depending on the situation. Think of your safety, and try to reign yourself in if there is any danger whatsoever.

What baffles me is that apparently intelligent people can read something written a couple of thousand years ago by someone who did not know what they were talking about and believe what they read.
