2-3 times in the past. But the best example I can give was 3 yrs ago when my girlfriend and I were in Savannah, Ga on vacation and had gone to a 50's revival stage show. When we left not only couldn't we find the car, we couldn't find the GARAGE!..The one we thought we had parked in was not the right one and neither of us could remember where we did park the car! lol After walking around for what seemed years we happened upon it - and then guess what? IT WAS CLOSED. We had to go wake up a security guard who let us in to retrieve it! lol

When I used to go to the shopping center, I always parked at a certain marker,so I could find my car, well I went thru so many stores and there were at least 5 ways of coming into the store areas that I could not remember which way I came in and went out and could not find my car, it took me about an hour to realize I came out the wrong door and had to walk all around the parking lot.

I drive older cars that no one in their right mind would steal. After all they usually a trick or two for operating them. My cars are a bit better today.
But after giving away one our daughters at her wedding I was left to return a few tuxes the next day by a certain time.
I had a year old grandson on my hip. I didn't want to unload his stroller and thought I'd run in the mall drop the clothes and be right back. I parked at the wrong end of the mall. Huffed and puffed from one end to the other inside. then came out walked 3/4's of the way around the exterior--no blue clunker lumina. Finally security loaded up my grandson and I and drove around till we found it. A 20 minute excursion turned into an exhausting 3 hours and I felt pretty dumb.

I always look at the building for anything I can use as a reminder...like if the row I'm in is in front of the exit door, etc. One day I I just walked around and around, trying to find my truck and knowing darn well where I had parked it. Finally, after walking up and down the aisles numerous times and knowing that people were watching me, it finally dawned on me that the truck was home in the driveway....as I had decided to drive hubby's van that day!!!

Oh my goodness, yes I have done that in the past. Now I have learned that where ever I go, always park in the same area if possible. For example, when I go to Walmart, I park near the nursury and that's where I enter the store and where I get my items checked out. It really helps! If that's not possible, just remember the grid number on the nearest light post. If possible, write it down.

I used to - but no more.

First, if I can't find a parking place reasonably close to where I am going......I won't stay..will just come back later or the next day.

Second, when I park, I make a conscience effort to stand behind my car and take notice of the nearby "landmarks"....light poles, cart areas, etc. Then when I reach the door of the store - I look again to make sure I know what aisle I'm in.

I used to have one of those little dealies that went on your antenna....but people kept swiping them.....

Yes. One time I used the subway and parked in subway parking. When I returned to get my car I could not find it. I thought it was stolen because it was not where I thought I parked it. Apparently I came in on the subway on another side. I realized I was on the other side of the parking lot (there was a north and south section) aftergoing round and round. I was dazed and confused. lol The sad part was I was much younger then.

Yes at the airport. My daughter & I were running late. So late that parked under a HUGE no parking sign. Lucky for me I remembered the sign b/c I'd even forgotten which floor!
The guy in the little shuttle knew where the sign was. LOL

Have I ever, Mission Valley mall in San Diego, Laguna Niguel(Orange county S. Calif.)and the worst of all South Coast Plaza(Orange county S. calif) in Costa Mesa Calif. My husband bought me a special compass. I'm talking mega parking lots. I've driven around with security trying to find my car at South Coast Plaza. Quite comical, but they are used to it. I forgot Counrty Fair Mall in Escondido is a real lu lu. I misplaced it there also.

I used to loose mine all the time, but I put a stop to that in one of two ways.

1) A "Jack In The Box" antenna ornament, until everybody else started doing this.

2. Park directly underneath the sign telling you your location. It never fails to get me right back to the car with no problem.
