oil plays a key role, as it should. it is a vital American interest to insure a plentiful supply. I'm glad all administrations except Carter's have kept the oil flowing-- for the sake of all Americans.

Actually it is the Europeans that are the most dependent upon the oil that is shipped from the Middle East and if you have ever been to Europe and rented a car - last time I was in England is was running about 4 pounds (in Nov 2000 exchange was 1 pound = $1.63 American) it has very little to do with us, but more for our NATO alliances.

It plays the role of ENVY.

American powers ENVY the oil that belongs to everyone and because of this ENVY our government has no real policy. Oh, yeah, except to make war and invade because they want to controll it. Like I said ENVY!

Oil is everything in the middle east. Anyone who doesn't admit that is a liar. We would not care two camel fleas about that desert if it weren't for oil.
