So far only one person has done this and sold the way to do it. You could prbably buy the code from ebay or something but I'm sure it would be a scam. Good luck though!

i would recommend taking it back and getting your money back.
With the release of the 1.1.1 edition of the iPhone software, as soon as a phone is network unlocked, the device will lock itself. there are cracks avaliable to get around it, but to be honest, its not worth the hasstle for what you get, wait for the sony ericsson w960i and get yourself a decent phone, it does everything the iphone does, only better.
have a read of this article that details some of the dramas around unlocking iphones

Interestingly enought, i just found this article, looks like french law prevents Apple network locking their handsets in franch, so in theory you should be able to buy a pre-unlocked handset and use it in the UK, still not interested in one tho

It is allegedly possible, and posts have appeared on the www giving details. HOWEVER one reliable source states that an unlocked phone may fail if apple add any software upgrades.

you can't
its locked to american network.. sprint etc...
they have a custom chip on them so you can't do it..
if you had bothered to know about that before trying to be a flash harry, might have helped..
better sell it to someone in america.
