What would you do if you found a hundred dollar bill.........or more in cash.
I just read an article that asked people what they would do, and many of the answers really surprised me.

One thing that surprised me to find out was how many people would turn it into the police dept. or lost and found.
After reading this article I would either do that, or I would donate it to charity. I would not spend it on myself; I'd feel guilty about doing that.

I HAVE found a 100 dollar bill before. It was at work (I work at a restaurant) and it was under a table that just left. I called the number that we had for the reservation and left a message.
The guy came the next day to pick it up and give me 50 bucks! Not only did I feel great about doing the right thing (They were rich, they would have NEVER known so it would have been easy to pocket it) but I got some free money out of the whole thing!

it would have to be over $100 to be turned in for me...my daughter found 2 $20 bills at the store on seperate trips... and i hav lost $80 just recently..comes around goes around.. but i do try to ask around to c if it comes up...if u turn it in to the police i guarrantee no one is going down to look for it...u have to loose more for that to happen.

If it were $100 in raw cash, no wallet then I have $100 in cookbooks coming to me.
If it were in a wallet, I'd turn it in.
If it were a large amount I'd probably turn it in no matter what.

depends on where i found it -if it was in a very public place, id take it inside, where they would usually ask ppl if they lost money and if it wasnt claimed within a couple of days, theyd problly give back to me and tell me to keep it (yes, ive found money b4, and altho ppl dont usually claim it, it feels good to know that you're not just walking around using the money that belonged to some poor housewife with 12 kids.)

I would find it hard to turn it in to the police, that's over 10% of my monthly income.

Well if I found $100.00 or more, I would turn it into the police and if no one claims it in 90 days then it's mine.

What were the answers? It would be tempting, but I would probably leave it there, hoping that the owner would come back looking for it. And, if someone else takes it, that's their deal.
