so outwardly anti-military?

Be nice republicans... I was in the military as was most of my family and we know good men and women that are republican and democrat...

The problem i see is that the military democrats are not being represented by their own politicians. Dem candidates will have you believe that every American soldier is a murderous republican out for blood(or oil) when thats the farthest thing from the truth.

Why is there no Dems out there with 'a pair' that will stand up for our troops, give them the armor, money, ect... they need until our government can figure out what to do?

I was raised to be PROUD of my country & our flag. To be PROUD & THANKFUL for the men & women who died to make this country & to give us the FREEDOM we have today.
When the national anthem plays, I have my hand over my heart & my eyes are on the flag.
I amazes me how many people talk & goof around during the national anthem. It saddens me to see the parents who have NOT BOTHERED to teach their children PATRIOTISM & LOVE for their country & flag.
It pisses me off when politicians want votes but are not patriotic & they do NOT care about this country or the people in it & YES!!! DEMOCRATS ARE THE WORST!!!
They only wave the flag when they want votes. Then when they get in office, they walk all over it & crap all over everyone who believes in it & on those who fight, have fought & die, have died to protect it.

Chris D
Hillary Clinton is both. She voted for the war in Iraq but didn't go.
Or should I say she voted for it when it was the popular idea. Then being a typical waffeling Democrap, she leaned the other way when she thought she would lose votes & money...
Had Clinton been able to keep his pants up MAYBE & highly doubtful he could have taken the upper hand in the situation before it came to our backyards. He & other Dems KNEW & ADMITTED to knowing who & where the threats are & were & they did NOTHING!!!! The war in Iraq is all because Democraps do NOT & did NOT have "a pair" between the whole lot of them.
They claim to not be against the troops who are fighting, but that is NOT possible. If you are against the job that they are doing, YOU ARE AGAINST them. By protesting the war you ARE protesting them.

>>The last time I checked, Republicans had not taken office when the US was hit. <<

Champagne Diamonds: Are you referring to the Sept. 11 attacks??? If so, then you are wrong about that. The Republicans took office on January 20, 2001; September 11 was AFTER that.

I have never heard of any Democrat saying they believe that every American soldier is a murderous republican...where the hell did you hear that? In fact, every time the President has asked for another $180 billion, he's gotten it! You have been misinformed. Why don't you ask the Pentagon why the soldiers don't have the armor they need? The Democrats have nothing to do with how the money gets spent! Geez!

"Dem candidates will have you believe that every American soldier is a murderous republican out for blood(or oil) when that's the farthest thing from the truth". No Democrat candidate has ever said anything that even remotely resembles that statement. The Congress has not cut of funding. Democrats have voted for increased veterans benefits and body armor.

"Why is there no Dems out there with 'a pair' that will stand up for our troops, give them the armor, money, ect... they need until our government can figure out what to do"? That is exactly what they are doing.

You are misinformed.

Re below; The questioner is welcome to provide quotes from the democratic candidates that prove their assertion. It would be kind of boring for me to list everything any candidate every

no. being against the war does not mean you are anti-troop. "dem candidates will have you believe . . . soldier is a murderous republican"
no dem has said that. they have said bush/cheney started the war for oil
dems are using any means necessary to stop the war, even if it means cutting off financial backing. however, last time it was voted on, the dem congress voted to give them some extra money. also, don't forget, the ones voting against giving soldiers necessary care and cutting back on care for wounded veterans is the republicans.

i think the only dem candidate with a pair, as you put it, is kucinich who would slash our bloated so-called "defense" and use this money for the good of the nation. or do you really think with all the supportive allies we have we still need to spend as much as the REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED on our military? i'm no pacifist but our empire has nothing to do with defending our nation but rather our business interests throughout the world.

The dem congress provided more money than the president asked for. The congress only provides the money to the Pentagon. They do not determine how they spend it. Direct your question to the Pentagon.

Well, Barack Obama has said he wants a strong military. He isn't anti-military, he is anti-War in Iraq. Being anti-military and anti-War in Iraq are two completely separate things.

When all Repukes are in the military and fighting in the war they started...only then can they say anything about the Dems.

Cons: sign up or shut up. If you voted for war and didn't sign up to fight in it you are a coward or a hypocrite.

Does supporting the military include sending them to killed in a futile war?
