I would tend to agree and disagree. Yes, the price of oil has gone up, but the price of oil was on the rise even before the attacks. When Clinton deregulated oil that was the first step in the process. We would be much better off had he not done that. Now, the price of oil is controlled by market speculators and with the demand for oil going through the roof coupled with greedy speculators. You get what we have today.
As far as middle eastern terrorists go. They look at the west and see what they once had. At one time the "civilized world" was the middle east. Now the world doesn't revolve around them and they are pissed. Thus the only way for them to regain attention is through terrorist actions.
What they don't seem to understand is that the world doesn't see them as great leaders anymore. They see them as backwards countries that the world should feel sorry for.

it form of feels to be starting to be progressively greater obvious to anybody with any sense (and positively any ethical judgment of right and incorrect) that 9/eleven, 7/7 and the Madrid bombings have been carried out by potential of Mossad and the CIA, contained while it comes to 7/7 with a minimum of a few complicity from the better echelons of the British government. the U. S. became attacked by potential of its own risk-free practices forces and those of its allies to falsely create a foundation for defense tension interventions in international places the place the U. S. had or foresees an financial pastime: Iraq and additionally Afghanistan (to the top of a next intervention in Iran). that's through fact the U. S. potential to get carry of administration of the full oil wealth of the Caspian Basin and previous by potential of tension and by potential of any potential and value. Any fool can see that that's patently the case. US foreign places coverage is and constantly has been solely imperialist and criminal , and the U. S. has never long previous to conflict with basically reason through fact the 1800s.

This has all to do with media, exploitation, and cred ability. Al Aida gets all the free media attention that money cannot buy. With the exploitation of the press they can recruit more followers and most importantly exploit their own citizens by fear. No other country in the world offers them the opportunity than the US. It really isn't complicated it is simple and it works great. We will always be the target, they tried the other European countries but the impact was not a good as ours.

Maybe. The 19 that hijacked and flew those planes were not from poor and deprived backgrounds. When the Saudi's brainwash their people with textbooks that are anti US and anti Israel, and then their religious leaders reinforce this brainwashing, you are bound to get some of their young men that will do crazy stuff like this. We need a radio free Saudi Arabia to help counter the propaganda that the Saudi government puts out.

September 11, (if it happened the way everyone in the US government claims it did, which we will never know because there was no real serious investigation, but assuming it did), was Blow Back plain and simple.
it might help you to contextualize this if you research US military and CIA actions in the middle east for the past 50 years.

The Islamic militants attacked Americans all over the globe for over 25 years - and our previous policies of no response or effective action allowed them to do this with pretty much impunity. It was only inevitable that these policies would lead to attacks on our own soil.
Perhaps money and profit do play an important role in these attacks - but I believe a fanatical, religious ideology of hatred and domination play a more important role.

If you read the Qur'an and the Hadith, you'll see that the terrorists are not perverting anything...simply doing what they were told to do.
The fact that we let them go so long before we finally reacted doesn't help matters.
Read The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam for a real eye opener.

Terrorists want a big splashy headline designed specifically to strike terror into the hearts of everyone who does not believe as they do.
Whole point of all terrorists is to get worldwide publicity.
The religious aspect is second to that. Most of the time a leader will exploit the religious zeal of a people for the gains to terrorism.

Islam hates anything from the West and those that are not like them. I agree completely with your first paragraph. They'll never stop attacking us until we're gone or we've converted.
Here's a reminder since many seem to forget....
1. 1992: Attack at a hotel in Yemen targeting American soldiers.
2. 1993: World Trade Center. They failed to bring one of the buildings down but said they'd be back.
3. 1998: Bombings of US Embassy in East Africa
4. 2000: USS Cole bombed while docked at Yemen. 17 American soldiers died.
5. 2001: Sept. 11
There was also the hostage taking in Iran back in 1979 and the Olympic Games massacre in Munich in the early seventies.
I may have missed some....
People, we must never forget what these killers have done.
