so i was going to make him a great dinner but thats what my sis is doing for him, then i thought maybe buy him a gift card to get some CDs he likes, but thats what i did last year.
he's so hard to get presents for & he works so hard, i have no idea what to do for him, he even has jury duty on his birthday tomorrow!
any ideas? help!!

There are lots of things guys don't buy for themselves. Especially old men. Get him some Calvin Klein Boxers, or undershirts, some decent socks, a pair of nice sneakers, something like that.

since he has jury duty, how about buying him a gift card to Barnes & Nobles? most likely he could use a good book to pass the time, it can be boring over there.
oh! and for the dinner, maybe you could bring him his favorite cake or whatever he likes.

think of a thing that your father ask that he needs like a simple pin....if he always look for a pin then that's your gift, a bunch of it.........or another example.......he wakes up late in the morning.......give him an alarm clock......give him that he like or missing ....
