Ethan Frome has no redeeming qualities that I can determine. I have no desire to meet him.

No. He's not all that interesting to me.
I'd love to meet the Hobbits, though, from the Lord of the Rings novels.

Nope, he sounds like a depressed, unfaithful person.

I hated that book, and think he and his girl deserved what happened to them at the end.
Irony is a wonderful thing.
