What does that mean when there are little pieces of feces coming up after flushing the toilet?

It means you need a courtesy flush.

I would say either there is a partial clog in the line or bowl or the tank is not emptying completely and not making a complete flush. remove the tank top and flush. If almost all of the water is not leaving the tank, adjust the flapper chain/strap a little tighter to hold the flapper up longer.

It sounds like there may be a clog in the main line! If you find that there are slow draining appliances or sinks, you won't to call out a plumber immediately! It can be a simple clog or a cracked below slab line! Either way, being in the insurance industry, most homeowners policies do not cover sewage back up's or below slab leaks!
