Remember that it is only a theory and not a scientific law. Therefore, it could be true or it may not be true.

What do you think?

I believe in a form of evolution but not Darwinism. But I also believe in Creationism, that the account of Genesis was the beginning of the Jewish people. I think the other people on earth before this would not acknowledge God so He created His own people. Would this not explain the fact that there were people in other cities for Cain to go to after killing his brother?

There is much evidence proving the theory of evolution to be a fact and very little to the contrary.

The basis of science is to allow the evidence to prove or disprove the theory, religion claims the theory as fact without evidence.

There is more than enough evidence to claim evolution is a scientific law. What is in question is the origin of all species. This is where theory(ies) must be employed and until one can be proven, all must be considered feasable. The lack of evidence concerning our initial creation does not negate the fact that evolution has occurred....and continues to occur within all forms of life on earth. Could it be that "God" is simply the metaphor which mankind, unable to explain in any other terms, has placed on a natural occurrence?

Partly True.

I believe in a blend of creationism and evolution.. . Let me take a minute to explain please and don;t jump all over me until you have read it.

Some greater power had to start it all moving. Some greater power had to give life to that first single cell that climbed out of the primordial ooze.

But for the evolution theory, it is still possible. The bible tells us that God created the heavens and earth and that they were with out form. God also separated the light from the dark, and the light became day. BUT how long was that day? Surely it wasn't 24 hours long as we know them. At the beginning a day could have been 300,000 years. Plenty of time for the evolutionary powers to do their work.

The keeping of time is a man made phenomenon for convenience. When the powers that be set all of his in motion there were no days until billions of years later.

By the way, I am a Christian. God gave us the power to question and reason.

Neither -- I agree with you. I don't believe it's true or untrue. It's not proven, so I believe what I know: I popped into this life at some point that I don't remember. What happened before I was born is irrelevant, for all intents and purposes.
Some people say "yeah, well Einstein's theory of gravity is just a theory," but so is String Theory. The pendulum swings both ways.

From a Christain stand point, I believe that it could be true, and that it probobly is--to a point anyway. Where most Christains (or the ones I know anyway) totally disagree with evolution, I believe that God could have done it that way if he wanted to. The counteragruement to that would be that the Bible says that God created the Earth in six days, but, to my knowledge, the Bible never says that heavenly time in in sync with earthly time.
Anyway--that's my view on it.

the single ingredient that has pushed greater human beings from god than the different is the habit of christians usually. and the loudest christians especially. this brings approximately an equivalent yet opposite reactionary questioning against all issues religious. uncertain what form of scientist might evaluate the two creationism or evolution to be fact. no longer something very own. peace

I think that the theory of evolution is just an explanation of how it actually happened. I think that god did it in his order and since we weren't there it very well could have happened as the theory of evolution. i feel you can believe in both. like it really happened that way, but it was god that created it to happen that way.

I disagree with the theory. I'm a creationist, the kind that believes God created the world in six normal days. It almost takes more faith to believe in evolution than creation!

Evolution is false. I came from no animal. God made me. Everything happens according to His will and not by chance.
