With all that Alonso has said and done I do not think he will return to McLaren next year.
I think that Button would make an excellent replacement, he drives really well(he does, its just that the Honda is a bad car) and is British, so he will make an all British team. Kubica will also make a good replacement in my opinion.

it will either be McLaren or Renault. It would not be good for McLaren to have 2 English drivers. Kubica would be good, but if Fernando goes to Renault that means fisi is gone and they want Nelson Piquet Jr next year so that would mean Heikki would be gone to. I reckon Heikki would be the replacement although i am kind of hoping it will be Ralf Schumacher

I ceratinly would not disagree with your observations. It would be a dream team if Button was seated alongside Hamilton. Note that I say seated alongside? If McLaren and Ferrari got anything right this year it was to allow their drivers to race to a set formula that gave either driver a chance inthe final stages. There has been a lot of criticism levvied against Ron Dennis for this, which is unfair. Both the teams have effectively adhered to the rules set out by the FIA designed as they were to make the season of greater interest.

Button deserves to get something out of his F1 career and he looks to me the best man to take the seat. What better than the greatest British F1 team in history has two British drivers. Aside from him I'd love to see a comeback from Juan Pablo Montoya or Eddie Irvine.

Alonso would most likely come back to Renault and his seat will be wide open.

Button has said he will stay with Honda.
Rosberg is 'untouchable' says Williams.
Kubica and Heidfeld will also stay.

Prospects:
Ralf Schumacher
Sebastian Vettel
Giancarlo Fisichella

Ron should give Gary Paffett the seat he promised him a long time ago. Maybe him. I doubt Button will be a likely candidate. But then again Ron does like to spring a few ssurprises

it ought to be Vettel nevertheless i'm particular the group will desire to hold directly to him. in all probability Rosberg, although that's been stated that Williams won't permit him flow. i think of they could desire to sell Paffett. unfavourable guy. he's been with them for see you later now and he hasn't gotten the prospect to instruct his purposes ontrack. I advise, he's shown himself lots of situations already. He just about have been given his smash yet they pushed him aside for Lewis. in the event that they do no longer connect up the different drivers from different communities, then Paffett ought to certainly obtain the prospect. He desires it.
