Anyone seen 'What The Bleep Do We Know?'?

What is your opinion on this? It blew my head off. Have always been into quantum physics but wow! If everyone was to see this, what effect would it have on the planet?

Yes, I have seen it. I was wowed too when I first saw the film. I think it's great that you too find it so fascinating and awe-inspiring as I did.

I would add that in this film there are both legitimate scientists as well as self-proclaimed "gurus" and "mystics". And understand that the film makers tried to present the science as well as the 'possibilities" (so that the film is more interesting), but it may not be clear which is which.

I managed to get to the 30-minute mark before I gave up in disgust. It features a dumbed-down version of quantum mechanics which only the scientifically illiterate would swallow and promotes some very dubious pseudo-mystical interpretations.

If you want to learn about QM properly read 'The Elegant Universe' or 'God and the New Physics' instead. These are both by reputable science writers and aren't tainted with psychobabble.

Another theory based on 'wishfull thinking'. Just beause you relate it to quantum theory, does not make it any more real. Even if the quantum facts were proved, quantum effects don't work at the macro scale. What is interesting is how much perception and attitude have an effect in life, certianly with health, but whist important, I thought they carried it too far.
And anyone who gives an interview and describes himself as a 'spiritual leader' needs to be laughed at....

I havn't watched the whole thing, but my dads seen it about 20 times He says he gets something new out of it every time he watches it

Had it on DVD for while. Not bad, but not *that* amazing.

If everyone watched it, you know what would happen? Nothing.
