People can't get along because of past experiences and stereotypes that fuel peoples opinions. I think that is the most accurate answer to one of lifes mysteries.

Because we do not all have the same likes and dislikes - our views can be incredibly diverse as can our morals

Because they are selfish. Many refuse to think about others.
