You mean bollocks: testicles

As many people have said, it's slang for testicles. In some parts of England (eg. where I am) it is used very often.
Trying to find a good word like it. I think it's like a less offensive way of saying the s-word.

For the English people here, Limey is slang for British. This is because the British sailors in the Navy used to eat lots of limes to prevent scurvy.

Hi Yank
The answer you have already had although I don't know why it would be used on such a popular program. What I wanted to say is there is nothing wrong with the nickname "limey" for an English man as it comes from the time when we gave our sailors limes or lime juice which stopped them having scurvy where as the American navy at that time just let their sailors suffer and either their leaders didn't care or were to stupid to know what to do

To not answer your question, but to have a go at the people who moaned about you calling us Brits 'limeys':

They called us limeys because we drank lime juice to prevent scurvey on the sail across the water to 'the new world.'

And yes, life for a lot of people in Manchester is similar to Corrie...

Why on Earth would Americans want to watch "Corornation Street"? Don't they have enough rubbish of their own?

I suspect that Americans would use the word "nuts" where Britons would use the word "bollocks".

I think it's a shame now that broadcasting standards are so low that a very high profile programme watched by millions finds it necessary to ask actors to use such a word. Why do we have to have this on today's programmes?
