There is no way you are going to get all the glue up off a concrete floor. I have scraped miles of concrete in preparation for new floor and it simply does not come completely up. Sanding the glue off might work but I have no idea what you will be left with. Here is my suggestion. They sell a product called Ardex feather finish. If you are good with a trowel. A Smooth edged trowel. This will bring you back to a nice smooth finish without all the solvents and so forth. You apply a skim coat, very thin, then let dry, depending on the room temperature should take about 2-3 hours. Take a look at what you have. If you don't like what you see, spread another thin coat. Repeat until you like what you see. Have Fun

Fast and cheap...hmmm, no offense; but I'm not sure there is a correlation.

Cheapest involves sweat equity and a floor scraper. Faster would be a Floor sander with heavy grit belts. BUT you'll still have HAND labor in corners.

SOLVENTS will only add to the labor and mess.

if you go to the hardware store and buy an ice scraper[it has a long handle like a shovel and the blade is 6 inches wide] you shouldn't have too much trouble removing the adhesive.any leftover residue can be sanded with a belt sander

rent a orbiting buffer and the attachment that removes glue and grout from concrete floors, then use a 20 grit sanding pad and it will be very smooth. I have done it myself so I know it works. good luck !!!!
