I really need to know what it is because i have a rock project and some websites say its a mineral, but mineral data sites do not recognize it as a mineral.....so....i need help. Thanks.

Many websites operated by layman missclassify geologic materials. The above answer is correct.... unakite is an igneous rock composed of orthoclase, epidote and quartz, and not a mineral.

In the future, if you need to know for sure whether something is a mineral, I recommend the sites "webmineral" and "mindat". They are set up by professional mineralogists and have accurate information.

Unakite is a rock. It is an altered granite of mostly K feldspars and epidote, with some quartz. It is the official stone of my home state, Virginia and it is used in decoration.
