I sell books online. I want to offer the incentive that each book purchased enters the buyer into a raffle (to win a rare book). Is this legal?

It depends on what country you are in, so you should talk to a lawyer about how to do it legally. Here in America, any contest like that that I have seen says "No Purchase Necessary" and people can send in postcards once per day to try to win the sweepstakes. I think it might be illegal to do what you are doing, requiring people to buy something to enter the sweepstakes, but a lawyer would know for sure.
