why do I usually bleed during the hormone pills instead of the sugar pills?

I was put on b/c pills when I was 17 becuase of heavy bleeding and bad cramps and irregualr periods coming diff times of the month. Since being on b/c I still am not regualr I have my period when my body wants me to. Always during the homone part of the pill pack and neve r on the sugar pill week.I have been on 7 kinds of pills and nothing has worked.what is going on

I dunno, but every single time I have been on them (regardless of variety, and I have tried a half dozen) I bleed the entire three weeks that I am on the hormones, and then slowly come to a stop during the sugar pills. When I was put on the pills that were hormones the entire month, I bled for the entire month....after 8 months of that garbage I told them where they could put the pills. That was it, I said never again.
Not a single one of my doctors could give me a good reason - I mean they would say something and shrug like they weren't even sure it was true - but I gave up on them for good a couple of years ago. I think for some women they simply arent the "cure all" that medicine would have us believe.
