I recently posted a question about B. Obama and D Chaney, meant to be humoruos. I was poking fun at myself for not paying attention to the news and finding out Chaney and Obama are related.
Apparently there is a such thing as a stupid question and humor can be deleted.

Apparently not. The LIBERALS haven't been given the heave-ho yet.

Written communication REQUIRES that you make sure that you word your question so that the intent of the question is obvious. We cannot see your face or read your mind and know that your tongue is in your cheek.

If all you did is post a question, that, in YOUR mind was humorous, you can't really fault people for not figuring you out.

Are you sure you were not posting a rant in the form of a question?

Either way, in such a vast community such as YA, it would be impossible to distinguish - in the politics section, especially- a rant from pure jest.

It wasn't necessarily a "stupid" question... but given that YA's purpose is to provide answers to "serious" askers, perhaps your "humorous question" would have been better understood in the jokes/riddles section.

I've found that there are a great many people on here who don't have a sense of humor about anything.

Hey, a call for honoring a medal of honor winner can be deleted. I've even had an "I don't agree" answer deleted.

I don't think you can remove humor.

Here's a suggestion. Make sure your questions are in COMPLETE QUESTION FORMAT.
